When moving a pool table in 1 piece is not possible, it will need to be taken apart. This is a very time consuming process that requires precision and skill. The felt must be removed, this means removing about 200 staples, one staple at a time. The bumpers are also removed and padded for protection.
The slates will then need to be removed, but not before removing the screws holding the slates to the wood frame. We then remove the quick dry cement or bee's wax (whichever the previous mover used). And only then do we remove the slates and carry them one by one. All slates are padded before being loaded. This is due to how fragile slates can be. Sure, they are very very heavy but also very easy to crack and chip.
Can a pool table be moved without taking it apart?
